Collecting and Using Your Personal Data
Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You, including:
- Email address
- Phone number
- Usage Data
Usage Data
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service, and may include Your Device's IP address, browser type and version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.
When You access the Service through a mobile device, We may also collect the type of mobile device You use, a unique device ID, mobile operating system, and mobile browser type.
Information Collected While Using the Application
While using Our Application, We collect the following to provide its core features:
- Ledger data. Contact names, transaction amounts, dates, notes, groups, and any photos or attachments You add to track who owes You and who You owe. This is stored on Your device and synced to Your account via Firebase (a Google service) so it's available if You reinstall the App or change devices.
- Attachments. If You attach a photo or file to an entry, it may optionally be saved to Your own Google Drive. The App only creates and manages files it creates itself (the
drive.file scope) — it cannot read, browse, or access any other files in Your Drive. This applies to attachments only; Your ledger data itself is stored via Firebase, not Google Drive.
- App Lock PIN and Entry Lock password. If You enable these, the PIN or password is stored only on Your device to protect access to the App or to deleting entries. We cannot recover these for You if forgotten.
- Statement sharing links. If You share an account as a link, a copy of that account's statement is made available at a private web address, protected by the 4-digit PIN You set. Stopping sharing immediately deletes the shared record and link; it is not just hidden.
- Subscription and billing data. If You purchase a Plus or Premium subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store Your payment card details — Google handles billing, receipts, and renewal on Our behalf. We only receive confirmation of Your subscription status and entitlement.
- Support requests. When You contact Us through Help & Support in the App or on the web app, We store Your messages, the topic and answers You choose, and any photos You attach, together with Your name, email address, plan and app version so We can help You. Photos are limited in size and are deleted automatically after 10 days; messages are kept so We can follow up and are deleted on request. If You send Us a video, it is sent by email to abdevelopers16@gmail.com.
You can delete Your ledger data, attachments and sharing links from within the App at any time. To delete Your support messages, email Us at abdevelopers16@gmail.com.
Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following third-party services to operate DebitCredit. Each processes certain data as described below, subject to their own privacy policies:
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
| Firebase (Google) | Ledger data storage and sync, authentication, support requests (Firebase Realtime Database and Cloud Storage), crash/analytics reporting | Ledger data, account identifiers, support messages and photos, device/usage diagnostics |
| Google Play Billing | Subscription purchase and renewal processing | Subscription status, purchase tokens (no card details) |
Google Drive (drive.file scope) | Optional storage of user-attached photos/files | Files You explicitly attach; no access to other Drive content |
| Google AdMob | Displaying in-app advertising to free-tier users | Advertising identifiers, usage data |
| Google Ads | Measuring the effectiveness of Our marketing campaigns | Usage data, advertising identifiers |
| Meta (Facebook) SDK | App install and campaign measurement for Our advertising | Device identifiers, usage data, advertising identifiers |
You can review or manage the data these providers collect through your device's ad-tracking and privacy settings.
