Why a ledger helps personal relationships
Most disagreements about money are not about honesty but about memory — "I thought I paid you back in March". A dated entry with a short note ends that conversation politely.

How to use it
- Add a contact for each person you lend to or borrow from.
- When you lend money, add a credit entry; when you borrow, add a debit entry.
- Add repayments as they come. The balance shows who owes whom, and how much.
- Set a due date if you agreed on one, and let the app remind you.
Private by default
Protect the app with App Lock and a PIN. Your data is backed up to your own Google account, so changing phones doesn't lose it.
Shared expenses too
Roommates, trips and family events work the same way: one contact per person, a note for each expense, and a running balance for settling up. Use groups to keep a trip or a household separate.
Frequently asked questions
Is this only for businesses?
No. Many people use DebitCredit to track personal loans with friends and family, shared expenses, or money sent to relatives.
Will the other person know I track it?
Only if you share it. Nothing is sent unless you choose to share a statement or a PIN-protected link.
Can I lock the app?
Yes. App Lock protects DebitCredit with a PIN.
